We booked last minute tickets to Prague on Easter weekend. We were lucky enough to find this place off the street and they took us in.
Location is in the heart of the city and the receptionist was more than willing to help us find places around prague for free tours, to get from a to b etc. Very helpful and always with a smile on her face!
Place was nice and quiet, had quite a few options of where to go. Would definitely recommend if you want to be a usual tourist and see the city without having the raging party goers all about. Would definitely recommend!
It was nice. Staff was awesome and really kind on helping you with parking per example. Room was big. Shared shower was okay with hot water all the time. Wi-Fi coverage could be better(in 4th floor there was no wifi). Perfect location!!
I stayed in AZ Hostel during New Year's Eve period. The prices for the accomodation were reasonable. The hostel is located in a very good area, close to the Mustek metro station. The room was clean but very simple. Don't expect any luxury;) What I liked most about this place was a very professional and nice personnel. They let us into room earlier than expected (check-in was supposed to be at 13, but we could enter the room at 10.30).
I do recommend AZ Hostel:)
This was absolutely perfect for us.
We had a double room, which was simple but very clean - that's all we needed.
The toilets and bathroom were in adequate numbers and very clean. Showers were clean and with nice hot water.
The location of the Hostel is perfect - near enough to walk to quite a few places but also just next to the underground (green line) so easy to commute to further locations. As well as the tram near by of course.
For the price and location it's practically unbeatable! Lovely staff, all the facilities you need and in the perfect location. Only things lacking were atmosphere, which is only served by a small common room where most guests don't go, and the security, as the door on the main street was open late and so was the main door inside despite being told it closes at 11pm. Would most certainly recommend in any case!
Very cheap hostel and I was surprised to get as much as I did. Rooms were spacious with plenty of power outlets and windows that opened all the way. Great location just outside of old town (5-10min walk). Also wifi in rooms. Bathrooms werent terrible but there was no hand soap so bring hand sanitizer. The showers were very clean along with the rest of the hostel. Common room was ok but not great, but the staff were extremely helpful and full of recommendations. Definitely would stay here again!
Liked: The hostel was perfect located in the city. The room, shower an toilet were for this price. Good place, if you just need a place to sleep.
Disliked: The kitchen was very simple but enough to cook a coffee. The living room didn't invite to sit down. Nobody was sitting there. So there were not communication with other guests. Tht was a pity. There was no style or design, even if they had tried to do something with coloured walls and pictures.
Very friendly HOSTEL just in the main centre of Prague, everything is close, you dont have to use the public transportation, STAFF was also cool and very kind, nonstop reception is great in the case you want to come late at night or save expensive things, rooms are very cute and clean, also with new furniture, showers with lockers. Also as a advantage is possibility to buy snacks and drinks at the reception.
Firstly the location of this hostel is great, I didn't have to take a bus or tram anywhere and still saw loads. The place is quite lively and big, with a common room, coffee machine, snack fridge... It's a shame there's no kitchen, that would have been good, but there was a cupboard (okay they called it the kitchen) where there was plenty free tea! The staff weren't out of the way helpful or friendly, but they weren't unfriendly either. The beds were comfy enough and the room was fairly clean.
this hostel is your basic hostel. if you want clean sheets, a place to sleep and warm shower in the morning and located right in the heart of old prague - this i a good option. I am not sure of the staff is rude/stand-off-ish, or just lack english skills, but than again it's a hostel and they probably are just getting minimum wage. i would stay here again considering the price and location.
